Definition

「references」は、レポートや論文で使う情報源や、就職で自分について説明してくれる人を指します。

アカデミックな場合は「参考文献」、仕事では「推薦者」と使い分けます。「list of references」は「参考文献リスト」や「推薦者リスト」です。単数形「reference」と区別しましょう。
