「リール」は糸やフィルムなどを巻くための筒状の道具を指します。また、SNSでは短い動画投稿の形式も「リール」と呼びます。

趣味や機器の文脈では巻き取り器を指し、SNSでは動画機能を指します。'real'（本当）との混同に注意してください。Instagramの『Reels』は大文字表記です。
