部屋や建物の内装を、ペンキを塗ったり新しい家具を置いたりしてきれいにし直すこと。

主に室内の改装に使う表現。'redecorate the living room' のようによく使う。ペンキ、壁紙、家具の更新を含む場合が多い。 '模様替え'よりややフォーマルな響き。
