"recourse" in Japanese
Definition
他に方法がない時に、助けや保護を求めて誰かや何かに頼ること。特に最後の手段として使われることが多いです。

法律やビジネスでよく使われる硬い表現です。「legal recourse（法的手段）」や「have no recourse（打つ手がない）」のように使います。日常会話ではあまり使われません。

If you lose your ID at the airport, your only recourse may be to contact security.
