過去の出来事を思い出すことや、その記憶自体を指します。特定の体験や出来事に使われます。

「recollection」は「memory」よりも少しかたい表現。「of」とセットで使われることが多い。何か特定の出来事を思い出す時や、深く振り返る場面で使う。

He shared a happy recollection from his childhood.

彼は子供時代の幸せな**思い出**を話してくれた。
