誰かや何かを受け入れること、ホテルや会社の受付、または作品や意見への反応や評価を意味します。

フロントの意味では「受付」、電話・テレビの電波なら「受信」、反応には「反応」と使い分けます。'at reception'は「受付で」、'bad reception'は「受信状態が悪い」と訳します。
