방울뱀은 꼬리 끝에 방울이 달려 있어 소리를 내어 경고하는 독뱀입니다. 주로 북미와 남미에서 발견됩니다.

항상 복수형으로 사용되며, 한 마리는 'a rattlesnake'(방울뱀 한 마리)로 표현합니다. 'rattlesnake bite', 'rattlesnake warning', 'rattlesnake den'와 같이 자주 쓰입니다. 특유의 소리와 독성으로 잘 알려져 있습니다.
