Fazer uma série de ruídos curtos e secos, geralmente sacudindo ou batendo objetos. Também pode significar deixar alguém nervoso ou incomodado. Como substantivo, é um brinquedo que faz barulho quando chacoalhado.

'Rattle' pode ser verbo ou substantivo. Muito usado em 'baby rattle' (chocalho) e como verbo para barulho de coisas metálicas ou rígidas. 'Rattle someone' significa deixar alguém nervoso, geralmente de forma informal. Não confundir com 'battle' (batalha).
