非常に大きな喜びや幸せ、恍惚とした状態を指します。宗教的には天に引き上げられる出来事を意味する場合もあります。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
文語的・詩的な表現や宗教的場面で多く使われます。「in rapture」「with rapture」などの形で感動や恍惚した様子を表現します。日常会話ではあまり使いません。
