Definition
古くて破れた布や衣服のこと。貧しさや掃除用の布を指す場合にも使われます。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
『rags』はほとんど複数形で使い、主に掃除用布やボロボロの服を指します。「dressed in rags」（ボロを着ている）や「rags to riches」（貧困から成功へ）の表現がよく使われます。新しい生地には使いません。
