Definition

激しく揺れ動くこと。地面が地震などで揺れる時や、恐怖・緊張で身体が震える時にも使われます。

ニュースや科学の文脈で「地震」として使われることが多いですが、「quake with fear（恐怖で震える）」のように感情表現にも使えます。動詞と名詞、両方に使われます。

The ground began to quake during the storm.
