Rajadas curtas de ar, fumo ou respiração. Também bolinhos leves e fofos (profiteroles, salgadinhos de queijo). Como verbo, soprar ar ou fumo em rajadas curtas.

Muito versátil: "puff of smoke", "cream puff" (profiterol), "cheese puffs" (salgadinho), "puff pastry" = massa folhada. "Huffing and puffing" = ofegante. "Puff piece" = artigo elogioso sem crítica.
