小道具支え

Definition

舞台や映画などで俳優が使う物を「小道具」といいます。また、何かを支えるための物も指します。

日常会話では舞台や映画の物に使われます。「支え」は物理的な支えや比喩的な場合にも使います。“props”（尊敬）というスラングとは違います。

The actor picked up the prop sword from the table.

俳優はテーブルから**小道具**の剣を手に取った。

Please use a book as a prop to hold the door open.

ドアを開けておくために本を**支え**として使ってください。

Each character in the play has a special prop.
