어떤 것이 성장하거나 성공하도록 돕거나, 대중에게 알리거나, 누군가를 승진시키는 것을 의미합니다.

'promote a product'는 제품 홍보, 'promote peace'는 평화 증진, 'promote someone'은 승진시키다. 광고(advertise)와는 구별해서 사용.
