将来絶対に何かをすると、相手に言ったこと。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

フォーマル・カジュアルどちらでも使える。'promised to...'や'as he promised'のように後ろに内容が続くことが多い。「offered」や「swore」とは意味が異なるので注意。
