Definition
Prognoz, bir hastalığın veya bir durumun gelecekte nasıl ilerleyeceği veya sonlanacağı ile ilgili doktorun ya da uzmanın tahminidir. Tıp dışında da, bir olayın geleceğiyle ilgili öngörü anlamında da kullanılır.
Usage Notes (Turkish)
Genellikle tıp alanında kullanılır: 'iyi prognoz', 'kötü prognoz'. Tıp dışında kullanımı resmidir ve teknik bir ifadedir. 'Tanı' (teşhis) ile karıştırılmamalıdır.
