何かを売ったりイベントなどから得られる総収入で、費用を差し引く前の金額を指します。

常に複数形（the proceeds）で使われ、ビジネスや公的な場でよく使います。'the proceeds from/of [販売、イベント、オークション]' などの表現が一般的です。'profits'（純利益）とは異なり、諸経費を差し引く前の全体額です。チャリティーなどでもよく使われます。

All proceeds from the book sale will go to charity.

本の販売による全ての**収益**は慈善団体に寄付されます。
