特定の方法や順序で物事を進めるための決まったステップやルール。職場や医療、法律などで使われます。

主に職場や医療などのフォーマルな場面で使われる。'安全手順', '医療手順', '手順に従う'などの表現とよく使う。個々の段階を指し、全体の流れ（プロセス）とは異なる。

The hospital has strict procedures for emergencies.
