「プロ」とは、仕事やスポーツ、活動などでとても熟練していて、報酬をもらってその仕事をする人のことです。また、「pros and cons」の場合は「利点」という意味です。

「プロ」はよく日常会話で使われ、アマチュアと対比して専門家やプロ選手などを指します。「pros and cons」では必ずしもプロの意味ではなく、「利点」の意味です。「プロ選手」などの形容詞的な用法にも注意しましょう。
