常和 'for' 連用，如 'prepared for the exam'、'prepared for bad weather'。用於人時，通常表示心理上或實際安排上已經準備好；用於食物、文件或材料時，常表示已經處理好，如 'a prepared statement'、'prepared food'。不要和 'ready' 完全等同，'prepared' 往往更強調事先規劃。
