困った状況苦境

どうしたらよいか分からないほど困難で不快な状況のことです。簡単に解決できない場合によく使います。

『predicament』はあまり日常会話では使わず、フォーマルな表現です。深刻な状況や進退に困る場面によく用い、『find yourself in a predicament』（困難な状況に陥る）、『get out of a predicament』（困難から抜け出す）などで使われます。

She found herself in a predicament when she lost her keys.
