神様や仏様に話しかけたり、助けや感謝、導きを求める行為。1人でも、他の人と一緒でも行われる。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

宗教的に神様に祈ることを指す。英語の'pray for someone'や'pray that...'などの使い方がある。単なる希望や願望としての『I’m praying』とは区別する。
