Definition
指向上帝或神明說話，通常是為了請求幫助、表達感謝或表示虔誠。它也可以表示非常希望某件事發生。
Usage Notes (Chinese (Traditional))
常見搭配有 'pray for someone'、'pray that...' 和 'pray to God'。'Pray' 比 'hope' 更有宗教色彩，但在非正式口語中也可表示非常希望，如 'I'm praying it doesn't rain'。不要和 'prey' 混淆，那是另一個詞。
