Definition
Pot é um recipiente redondo e fundo usado para cozinhar, cultivar plantas ou guardar alguma coisa. Em alguns contextos, também pode significar o valor total de dinheiro reunido em um jogo ou competição.

Na maioria das vezes, 'pot' significa um recipiente de cozinha: 'a pot of soup', 'put water in the pot'. Para plantas, o inglês costuma usar 'flower pot' ou 'plant pot'. Também aparece em expressões como 'jackpot' e 'the prize pot'. Não confunda com 'pan', que normalmente é mais larga e menos funda.
