'Pole' এর বহুবচন। এর মানে লম্বা, পাতলা বস্তু (যেমন খুঁটি) বা পৃথিবীর উত্তর ও দক্ষিণ মেরু।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

'Poles' পারে খুঁটি বা ভূগোলের মেরু, আবার বৈজ্ঞানিকভাবে বৈদ্যুতিক-ম্যাগনেটিক পোলও বোঝাতে পারে। সাধারণ জুটি: 'electric poles', 'the poles'। 'polls' (ভোট) সঙ্গে গুলাবেন না।
