Definition

ポイントは、ゲームやテストなどで使われる得点や、物事を評価する単位です。また、話や文章の要点という意味もあります。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

ゲームやテストでは得点の意味で使います（『score points』『get points』『lose points』）。また、『good points』『main points』のように、主な要点にも使われます。単数形“point”は一つの要素や得点を指します。

Examples

Our team got ten points in the game.
