포디움은 연설을 하거나 시상식 등에서 수상할 때 올라서는 작은 단상입니다. 공식 행사나 스포츠 시상식에서 주로 사용됩니다.

‘포디움’은 스포츠 시상대나 연설 때 사용하는 단상 모두를 가리킵니다. 미국에서는 연설대(lectern) 의미로도 사용되지만, 실제로는 사람이 올라서는 단상을 말합니다. ‘On the podium’은 수상자 세 명 중 하나라는 뜻입니다.
