表彰台は、スピーチをしたり、イベントを率いたり、賞を受け取ったりする時に使う小さな高い台です。主に式典やスポーツ大会で使われます。

表彰台はスポーツで上位入賞者が上がる台にも使います。アメリカ英語では演壇を指すこともありますが、本来は人が立つ台です。「on the podium」はトップ入賞の意味です。
