形容被犁翻過的土地，為種植做準備。有時也非正式地指清理過積雪的道路，或俚語中表示某人非常醉酒。

正式用於農業，也可形容道路雪被清理乾淨。在美國俚語中“plowed”可形容某人非常醉。注意與英式“ploughed”拼寫差異。

The farmer worked all day and the field was plowed by sunset.
