Definition

plate आमतौर पर खाने परोसने या खाने के लिए इस्तेमाल होने वाली सपाट थाली या प्लेट होती है। इसका मतलब धातु या किसी और पदार्थ की सपाट चादर, या गाड़ी की नंबर प्लेट भी हो सकता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

रोज़मर्रा की अंग्रेज़ी में खाने वाला अर्थ सबसे आम है। सामान्य जोड़ हैं: 'dinner plate', 'paper plate', 'license plate' और 'steel plate'। रेस्तराँ में 'a plate of...' का मतलब सिर्फ बर्तन नहीं, खाने की एक सर्विंग भी हो सकता है।
