中東発祥の、やわらかくて丸い平たいパンで、中にポケットがあることが多いです。サンドイッチやラップ、フムスなどのディップと一緒によく食べます。

「ピタ」は中東のパンに使います。「pita bread」「pita pocket」「pita chips」などとよく組み合わせて使います。温めたりトーストして食べることが多いです。
