परिभाषा

ピストルとは、片手で持って撃つための小型の銃で、警察官や兵士、一般市民が自衛や警備に使うことが多い武器です。

日常的には「ピストル」や「拳銃」とも言います。「銃 gun」よりも具体的にハンドガンを指し、「ピストルを持つ」「ピストルを抜く」などと表現します。
