選ぶ摘む (くだもの/花を)

Definition

いくつかの中から一つを選ぶこと、または指で何かを取ること。果物や花を摘む場合にも使います。

'pick a card', 'pick a winner', 'pick flowers' などで使います。「choose」はよりフォーマル。'pick on'は「いじめる」「からかう」の意味にもなります。

She picks ripe apples from the tree.

彼女は木から熟したリンゴを**摘みます**。

Please pick a card from the deck.

デッキからカードを一枚**選んで**ください。

He will pick the best student for the prize.

彼は賞のために一番良い生徒を**選びます**。

I’ll pick you up at 7 pm tomorrow.
