Definition

フレーズとは、意味をなすが通常は完全な文にならない、いくつかの言葉のまとまりのことです。また、特定の言い回しや表現を指すこともあります。

文法や語学学習でよく使われます（例：'noun phrase'、'verb phrase'、'key phrase'）。日常では「that phrase means...」「a common phrase」のようにも使います。「sentence」とは異なり、phraseは通常より短く、不完全なことが多いです。
