Definition

人員とは、組織・会社・軍隊などで働くすべての人々を指します。主に公式や事務的な場面で使われる言葉です。

『personnel』は数えられない集合名詞で、「personnels」とは言いません。『staff』よりもフォーマルな印象があり、現代の職場では『人事（HR）』の方が一般的です。

The hospital needs more personnel at night.
