迫害する

Definition

人種や宗教、信念などの理由で、長期間にわたって不当にひどく扱うこと。

フォーマルや歴史的な場面でよく使われます。「for」とともに使うことが多いです（例: 'persecuted for their beliefs'）。'prosecute'（起訴する）とは意味が異なります。

He was persecuted for his religious beliefs.

彼は宗教的信念のために**迫害**された。
