모든 인간 또는 같은 국가, 민족, 공동체에 속하는 집단을 의미합니다.

대개 복수형으로 그룹이나 집단을 가리킬 때 사용합니다. 'persons'보다 덜 공식적입니다. 'the French people'처럼 국민 전체를 지칭할 때는 단수로도 씁니다.
