Definition

動物の純血種や人・物の由緒・経歴を表す記録や家系。主に犬や馬などに使うが、人や企業にも使う。

動物（特に犬・馬）の血統証明によく使う。比喩で人の学歴や経歴にも用いる（例：'academic pedigree' は学歴）。人の場合はややフォーマルな表現。

This dog has a champion pedigree.

この犬はチャンピオンの**血統書**を持っています。

Can you show me the cat's pedigree?
