Definition

একটি যন্ত্র বা যানের এমন অংশ যেটি পা দিয়ে চাপ দিলে তা চালু হয় বা নিয়ন্ত্রণ করা যায়, যেমন বাইসাইকেল, গাড়ি বা পিয়ানোর পেডাল।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

সাধারণত 'পেডাল' শব্দটি সাইকেল, গাড়ি এবং পিয়ানোর জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়। একাধিক পেডালের জন্য বহুবচন ব্যবহার হয়—'the pedals'। 'Petals' (ফুলের পাতা) শব্দের সাথে মিলিয়ে ফেলা যাবে না।
