आड़ू गोल, रसीले फल होते हैं जिनकी त्वचा मुलायम और बीच में बड़ी गुठली होती है। ये मीठे होते हैं और ताजे या मिठाई में खाए जाते हैं।

'Peaches' ‘peach’ (आड़ू) का बहुवचन है, यानी एक से अधिक फल को दर्शाता है। अक्सर 'fresh peaches', 'ripe peaches', 'canned peaches' जैसे वाक्यों में आता है। इसे 'apricots' (खुबानी) से न मिलाएं।
