নিরাপত্তার জন্য কোনো এলাকা বা পথে নিয়মিত ঘুরে দেখা বা পাহারা দেওয়া, অথবা যারা এই কাজটি করেন তাদের দল।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

প্রধানত পুলিশ, সৈনিক, নিরাপত্তারক্ষীদের ক্ষেত্রেই বেশি ব্যবহৃত হয়; যেমন 'patrol the streets', 'border patrol'। 'গো on patrol' বললে একটি নির্দিষ্ট টহল বোঝায়।
