パティオは、家の裏や側面などにある、くつろいだり食事をしたりするための平らな屋外スペースです。

「パティオ」は平らで舗装された屋外空間を指し、「ポーチ」や「デッキ」とは異なります。「パティオ家具」や「パティオドア」などの表現とセットでよく使います。
