歩くための細い道や小道のこと。また、物事を達成するための方法や進路も表します。

「pathway」は「path」よりもやや堅い表現で、学術的・職業的・科学的な文脈（例：『career pathway』）でよく使います。物理的な小道と比喩的な進路の両方に使われます。
