何かを覆ったり修理したり飾ったりするための小さな布や素材の部分。また、周りと違う色や状態の小さな部分にも使われます。

衣服の修理用や飾り用の小さな布（『エルボーパッチ』）、ソフトウェアの『パッチ』更新、または皮膚や芝生などの『斑点』にも使います。「patches」と「batch」は意味が違うので注意。

My jeans have two patches on the knees.
