Definition

「パソ」は山の間の峠道や狭い通路を指し、アメリカ南西部の地名などにも見られます。スペインの宗教行列で使われる巨大な台座も「パソ」と呼ばれます。

日本語では主に地名や「エルパソ」のように固有名詞として見かけます。宗教行列を指す意味はあまり馴染みがありません。
