Formar parte de una actividad, evento o grupo junto con otras personas.
Usage Notes (Spanish)
Normalmente se usa con 'in' ('participate in the event'). Es más formal que 'join in'. No se usa para inscribirse en concursos, ahí va 'inscribirse' o 'competir'.
