「parted」は、人や物が別々の方向に離れた状態や、髪の毛が左右に分かれている様子を表します。感情的または物理的な別れにも使います。

'We were parted' のように受動態で使われやすく、'separated'よりやや形式的。髪型には'センター分け'や'横分け'の意味もある。物理的だけでなく感情的な別れも含む。
