寄生虫とは、他の生物の体内や体表に住みつき、その生物から栄養を得て、しばしば害を与える生き物です。時には、他人に頼って自分は何も返さない人を指すこともあります。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
主に生物学や医学で使われます。比喩的に（他人に頼る人）使う場合は口語的で否定的なニュアンスです。よく使う表現：「社会の寄生虫」。'バクテリア'や'ウイルス'とは違います。
