誰かが青白いと言うときは、病気や疲れ、驚きで顔や肌の色が通常より薄い状態を指します。また、色が薄いことにも使われます。

「look」「go」と一緒によく使われます：「顔色が青白い」「真っ青になる」など。色の場合、「淡い青」「淡いピンク」は日常的。単なる「薄い」色とは異なり、弱さや元気のなさも含むことがあります。
