pal 指朋友，是一種隨意、友善的說法，用來指你熟悉或相處融洽的人。

這是很口語、很隨意的說法，常見於 'old pal' 這樣的搭配，或直接稱呼別人，如 'Thanks, pal.'。語氣友善時會顯得親切，但語氣不同也可能帶有諷刺或一點挑釁意味。正式語境裡不如 'friend' 常見。
